Diligent Inspection Eliminates Potential Fire Hazard

Serving the Richmond area since the 1980’s, a local breakfast restaurant recently had some issues with their 4 flat-top grills. Inspection showed that the units were in need of new thermostats and various other sensors to solve the problems. Dutton was happy to assist and our technician installed all the needed parts.

Upon further inspection, our technician noticed that the gas supply hoses to all 4 flat-tops were in horrific condition. They needed to be replaced QUICKLY. This situation needed to be corrected as SOON as possible because it represented a potentially dangerous safety hazard. If the hoses failed, fire could ensue shortly thereafter.

The next day Dutton’s technicians arrived at the restaurant with the needed hoses and the equipment to move 4 flat-top grills, weighing around 300 lbs. each, and install the much needed replacement gas hoses.

The result was the elimination of four potential fire hazards in the restaurant and, by doing so, providing management the ability to focus on their customers and not on the equipment functioning properly.
